They are hiring at Eau Claire’s 911 center. Communication Center manager Dena Clark says they are looking for 911 dispatchers to join the team. Pay starts at almost 24 dollars-an-hour. Applicants do not need a college degree, but must not have any felony convictions. Clark says they’re hosting an open house at the Communications Center on Thursday for anyone who is interested.

The Department of Public Works announced that the city may join the “Twenty is Plenty” program which would drop the speed limit in the city from 25-miles-per-hour to 20-miles-per-hour. The Green County Sheriff’s Department says 26-year-old Curtis Curry was scheduled to return from work release Saturday morning and failed to report back. Curry was last seen wearing an orange and black tie-dye sweatshirt with “Take flight” written on it. He was also wearing a large black coat, hat, jeans and red athletic shoes. It’s unclear where Curry is headed but police say he has ties to Madison and Janesville.
