Police say the driver in Saturday night’s drag racing crash on East Washington was drunk and speeding when he plowed into an SUV. Madison Police say two people were hospitalized because of the wreck, two others were injured. Officers arrested Christofer Huerta. They say he was drunk while drag racing another car. Investigators say Huerta couldn’t stop in time for a red light, and smashed into the SUV and two other cars.

The university on Friday said Whitewater and Oshkosh are the latest schools to hit the 70-percent vaccination threshold. The Eau Claire, La Crosse, and Milwaukee campuses are already at 70-percent. UW-Madison is more than 70- percent vaccinated but is not a part of the scholarship incentive.
