Some horses and buggies in Wisconsin could soon have license plates. Green Lake Republican state Rep. Alex Dallman has a plan that would allow a county to set-up its own registration process for animal-drawn vehicles. There would also be a maximum 100 dollar fee. Vos Says Election Issues Raised Deserve Review

It’s not quite an ‘I told you so,’ but it’s close. Assembly Speaker Robin Vos yesterday said the election review from the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty clearly shows there are problems with the state’s election laws that need to be fixed. WI is For the Birds

Wisconsin is focusing on its Connecticut warbler population in northwest Wisconsin. The state’s Department of Natural Resources yesterday said it is launching an effort to boost the birds’ numbers. DNR says the Connecticut warbler population has fallen by nearly 80 percent in the last 50 years. DNR is blaming habitat loss for most of the decline. Most of the new effort will involve saving pine forests in eastern Douglas and western Bayfield counties.

Lawmaker Gears Up Legislation for Pedestrian Push

One of Madison’s Democratic state senators wants to give cities across the state the power to condemn homes in order to replace them with bike paths. Senator Melissa Agard yesterday introduced legislation that would empower cities to condemn properties in order to become more bike and pedestrian friendly. Agard says bike paths will help establish Wisconsin as a destination spot for young people and families. She’s framing her legislation as more local control, which allows cities to do what’s best for them.

Riggs Returns to Duty

It’s back to work for Riggs. Kenosha County’s sheriff’s office yesterday said Riggs reported back for duty last week, it’s the first time he worked since he was wounded in a shootout with a suspect back in October. Riggs was shot in the head. He’s made a full recovery. Kenosha’s County Board awarded Riggs a recognition at last night’s meeting.

They’re hiring once again at Lambeau Field. The Packers are hosting a job fair today, from 4 p.m. til 6 p.m. to fill game day and seasonal jobs. Interviews will be at the Johnsonville Tailgate Village on the east side of Lambeau Field. You need to be just 16-years-old to get some jobs. The Packers are looking to fill jobs in everything from security to customer service to concessions.

Add witness intimidation to the long list of charges against accused Waukesha, Wisconsin parade rammer Darrell Brooks Jr.  Prosecutors in Milwaukee yesterday filed the new charges against the suspect in Waukesha’s Christmas Parade massacre. The charges stem from Brooks’ time in jail in Milwaukee just weeks before he’s accused of running through the parade crowd. Packers RB Nominated For Walter Payton Award

Packers running back Aaron Jones is nominated for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award.  The Packers made the announcement today as each team nominates one player for the prestigious honor.  Nominees receive a 40-thousand-dollar donation for any charity and the ultimate winner receives 250-thousand-dollars for the charity of their choice.  Jones says the nomination means everything to him.

Dane Co. Asks About Masks

Dane County residents will have a chance to voice their opinion on the county’s ongoing mask mandate.  The mandate is not set to expire for a month but this will be the first time residents will have the chance to share their thoughts.  Officials last night invited the community to the Town of Berry’s Town Hall next Monday to weigh-in on the issue.
