Small Town Team “Bumps” Up to the Big Stage: Ridgeland Reds SET for Nationals

A group of local small town athletes are headed to the big stage!

A youth volleyball team from northwest Wisconsin is preparing for the biggest competition in program history.

The Ridgeland Reds 16 Red team has earned a bid to compete at a national volleyball tournament, becoming the first team in club history to qualify for the event.

The milestone comes just four years after the club was founded and features athletes from communities across the region, including Barron, Boyceville, Cameron, Chetek, Colfax, Cumberland, Prairie Farm, Rice Lake and Turtle Lake. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE TEAM.

As the team prepares to compete on a national stage, organizers are seeking community support to help cover travel, lodging and tournament expenses and say every contribution helps provide young athletes with an opportunity to represent their hometowns while competing against some of the nation’s top talent.

A community send-off for the team is planned for June 28th before they head to nationals and you can CLICK BELOW to listen to an interview with Ainsley Roemhild and Hadley Schoonover, two Boyceville players on the Ridgeland Reds Team.
