State authorities are encouraging residents to participate in this year’s Drug Take Back Day.
The event is set for Saturday at over 145 locations statewide. The initiative is led by the state Department of Justice and Attorney General Josh Kaul. It provides a safe and eco-friendly way to dispose of unused and expired medications. Participants may bring prescriptions, over-the-counter meds, pet meds, and vape pens without batteries. Illegal drugs, needles, and hazardous waste are not accepted.
