In Chippewa County, new charges are being filed against a contractor from Osseo.
Anthony Brooks is accused of accepting customer payments ranging from 13-thousand to 123-thousand dollars for home remodeling and renovation projects that he then never began and for which he failed to provide refunds. He faces five counts of theft by contractor. Brooks faces sixteen similar counts in Eau Claire County.
