Glen Loch may be on lock down, as Chippewa Falls is considering preventing access to a popular swimming spot. The city says Glen Loch Dam isn’t safe because of accidents and drownings that have happened through the years. The issue has become important recently, because work is underway at the adjacent Erickson Park, making Glen Loch Dam more enticing.
The city is considering prohibiting any swimming, diving, and boating within a 50 foot area north of the dam’s centerline. They would also put up Keep Out signs and fencing around the dam.
