A Wisconsin woman who allegedly tried to poison her husband with animal drugs has taken a plea deal.
Wisconsin Circuit Court records show that 51-year-old Amanda Chapin pleaded no contest Friday to a charge of felony first-degree reckless endangering. The charge was downgraded from first-degree attempted homicide after Chapin cut a deal last week with Lafayette County prosecutors. Chapin allegedly put animal euthanasia drugs in her husband’s coffee three times in 2022, putting the 70-year-old man in a coma.
