There are a few hundred more students on the University of Wisconsin’s campuses, but most schools are either flat or lost kids.
The university released its Fall 2023 enrollment numbers yesterday. Overall, the UW says enrollment jumped by 540 students, or point-three percent. This fall is the first time since 2014 that enrollment has increased. But those increases came only in Madison, Green Bay, Platteville, Stevens Point, and Whitewater. The other nine campuses all lost students. Right now eight of the UW’s 13 campuses have fewer than ten-thousand students, and two of them have fewer than four-thousand students.
