Jimmy Buffett has died.
The singer-songwriter best known for his iconic hit “Margaritaville” was forced to cancel his 2023 tour due to health concerns. Buffett said he always considered himself a road performer and had a cult-like legion of fans known as Parrotheads. His latest album “Equal Strain On All Parts” is due to be released later this year. His website says Buffet passed away peacefully Friday night “surrounded by his family, friends, music and dogs.” He is survived by his wife and three children. No cause of death was revealed. Jimmy Buffett was 76 years old.
