The latest Marquette Law School Poll says most people in Wisconsin support school choice, but more people support their local public school.
The poll, which was released last week, shows 54-percent of people statewide support school vouchers. But the poll also shows that 71-percent of people support sending more money to their local public school. Poll director Charles Franklin says that’s likely because people support their local schools. Milwaukee, which has the largest school voucher program, has the highest support for school choice at about 63-percent. Madison has the lowest support for school choice at just 36-percent in favor.
