The days of moving your car one-spot-down in downtown Eau Claire are coming to an end.
The city council on Tuesday voted to end re-parking. That’s when someone moves their car over one space to continue taking advantage of downtown’s two hours of free parking. The new rules will require people to move their car at least one block over. The hope is to free-up parking downtown, and allow more people to shop at downtown businesses.
