Badgers women’s head rowing coach Bebe Bryans is stepping down.
Bryans announced on Saturday that she’s resigning after nearly two decades. She’s the longest-tenured head coach in Wisconsin women’s rowing history and led the Badgers to 15 NCAA championship appearances. That includes a run of 13 in a row broken only by the COVID-19 pandemic. In a statement issued Saturday, Bryan said she’s decided to step down and “start a new adventure.” Bryan’s 2010 team won the first Big Ten championship is school history and four of the rowers she coached have made it to the Olympics.
