Travel Back in Time

Travel Back in Time

Travel back to prehistoric times to experience the 2023 special exhibit, Dino Don’s Journey to the Ice Age sponsored by Sendik’s Food Market, at the Milwaukee County Zoo. This outdoor adventure will be unveiled on Sat., May 20 and open daily through Oct.

The special exhibit is located behind the Small Mammals building, and cost is $4 per person. Featuring more than 20 animatronic, life-size creatures on display — some up to 25 feet long — Journey to the Ice Age explores animals in scenes from North America, South America, Eurasia, Australia, and Madagascar. As recently as five thousand years ago, the Ice Age time periods included giant animals called megafauna, like saber-toothed tigers, woolly mammoths, short-faced bears, and more.
