There will be a line of squad cars and men and women in blue in Brookfield this afternoon, all to say goodbye to a murdered Milwaukee police officer.
Officer Peter Jerving’s funeral is today. He was killed last week while trying to arrest an armed robbery suspect in Milwaukee’s south side. Jerving is the first Milwaukee police officer killed in the line of duty since 2019. There is a public visitation at the Elmbrook Church starting at 9 a.m. this morning, Jerving’s funeral begins at 1:30.
