On October 31, 2022, at approximately 9:46 pm the Wisconsin State Patrol and Dunn County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 at milepost 41.
During the course of the crash investigation, the Trooper observed signs of impairment, and a subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety tests was conducted on one of the drivers involved in the crash. The driver, Brittany Hester from Elk Mound, WI, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence 2nd offense with minor children in the vehicle.
Ms. Hester was transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary test and then to the Dunn County Jail. The children, ages eight and six, were released to an adult family member. The crash remains under investigation by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
