An incident regarding a pursuit and a three vehicle crash on Hwy 29 involving Chad J Myszka of Wausau, has been resolved as the suspect is arrested and the 20 year old is in custody. That update came from Sheriff James L Kowalczyk.
The case involved a manhunt underway in central Wisconsin Saturday, September 17th for a suspect considered dangerous. Law enforcement officials in Chippewa County were searching for 20-year-old Chad Myszka, who reportedly left his parents’ house with a gun Friday night and was acting suicidal.
Police say he left in a white Dodge Charger that was later involved in a three-vehicle crash that injured one person, and that he escaped police by running through a cornfield.
The Marathon County Sheriff’s Department notified the Chippewa Sheriff’s Department shortly before 1pm Saturday afternoon that they were transporting Chad J Myszka to a local hospital in Wausau to be examined for injuries resulting from that accident.
The Marathon Sheriff’s Department working with reported tips were able to take Myszka into custody and eventually transported him to a local hospital.
