Students at both UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stout can ditch the face masks just before spring break.
The two campuses yesterday said they will both end their mask requirements on March 11th. The UW System yesterday said schools could end their mask mandates as early as March 1st. School leaders say the drop in both coronavirus cases and hospitalizations is driving the decision. Students at UW-Madison will soon be able to leave their masks at home.
The university yesterday said it will end its mask mandate on March 12th.
