The Flying Eagles Ski Club will host their 136th Silver Mine Ski Invitational on January 14 and 15, 2022 at Silver Mine Hill. Flying Eagles Ski Club is the oldest continuous ski jumping club in the United States and has been hosting Silver Mine since 1969.
Gates are scheduled to open at 4:30 PM on Friday with the opening ceremonies set to start at 6:40 PM. The tournament will begin at 7:00 PM. On Saturday, gates are scheduled to open at 9 AM and Silver Mine’s cross country ski trails will be open for public use with paid event admission. The opening ceremonies will begin at 1:40 PM, the start of the tournament will follow at 2 PM, and the Xcel Energy Long-Standing Jump will begin at 4:30 PM.
Advance admission is $15 and tickets sold at the gate the day of the event will be $25. Kids 12 and under will be admitted for free along with veterans and active military with a valid ID. Ticket admission includes access to Silver Mine on both Friday and Saturday. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at this link or in person at any Eau Claire, Altoona and Chippewa Falls Kwik Trip locations along with Prestige Auto on Hwy 93 South in Eau Claire.
