It’s going to be a contentious day at the Wisconsin Capitol.
The Republicans who control the state Assembly are set to hear a series of new, proposed abortion laws today. They include a born alive proposal and a ban on gender, race, or sex selective abortions. Democrats are planning to vigorously oppose all of them. Even if the plans make it out of the Assembly’s Committee on Health, and pass a full vote at the Capitol, there is no way Governor Tony Evers will ever sign any of them into law.
