Some congestion is to be expected a while longer on the Beltline during the revamp project now underway.
Department of Transportation official Steve Theisen says some weekend work is scheduled. The bulk of the work is weekdays from 9:00-a.m. till 2:00-p.m. with a short break and then back again for night work from 7:00-p.m. to 6:00-a.m. the following morning. Theisen says repaving along with barrier wall fortification and new flex lanes are part of the project which lasts into next year.
