There’s a push to let the jury know everyone who gave money to pay the lawyers for the then-17-year-old accused of killing two people during a protest last year in Wisconsin.
The D.A. in Kenosha yesterday asked the judge to force Kyle Rittenhouse’s defense to turn over the donor list for the ‘Free Kyle’ fund. Donors gave two-million-dollars to that fund to help pay for Rittenhouse’s defense.
Prosecutors also want to be allowed to show the jury a video they say shows Rittenhouse talking about shooting someone outside of a CVS store. That was two weeks before he allegedly shot and killed two people in Kenosha as protests were flaring over the police shooting of a 29-year-old Black man named Jacob Blake.
