UW Studies Vaccines in Children

The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine will be holding clinical trials to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Moderna vaccine for children.

The vaccine is the same one as administered to adults but the trial will determine the correct dosage for kids.  Researchers are looking to enroll about four-thousand children in three age groups from six months to just less than 12 years old.  Enrollment begins tomorrow and the trial last 14 months including follow-up appointments.
