A bipartisan deal on how to use Wisconsin’s budget surplus has been reached.
Governor Tony Evers and Republican leaders announced yesterday an agreement on how to distribute one-point-eight-billion dollars in funds for schools, property tax relief, and other items around the Badger State. Another item includes direct payments to income taxpayers, including 300-dollars for individual filers and 600-dollars to married couples. Evers applauded the deal, noting how good it is for students with special needs. Democrats criticized the deal made by their leader, including some running to replace him in the governor’s office.
