Green Lake County has confirmed its first case of Chronic Wasting Disease.
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says an adult deer found dead in the Town of Brooklyn early last month tested positive. It’s the first deer to test positive for C-W-D in Green Lake County. A three-year baiting and feeding ban is now renewed. A two-year baiting and feeding ban is also renewed for Fond du Lac, Winnebago and Washaura counties because they are all within ten miles of the positive test.
