A Juneteenth celebration is happening Saturday at Carson Park in Eau Claire.
The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire is hosting the event celebrating the oldest-known date marking the end of slavery in the United States. Coordinator, Dr. Selika Ducksworth-Lawton says the party starts at 2 p.m., including live music, spoken word poetry, education, and history.
