Nearly 100-thousand people across Wisconsin who haven’t voted in years are soon going to get a postcard, reminding them about their voter registrations.
The state’s Elections Commission yesterday voted to notify the voters, but stopped short of kicking them off the voter rolls. The postcards, which will first go out at the end of the month, ask voters to either confirm that they are still living at their address, or register at a new address. The postcards are the latest in the protracted battle over trimming Wisconsin’s voter rolls. Election Commissioner Bob Spindell says he wishes the Commission would do more, but said the postcards are the best they can do.
