A sea of cheese made for a messy cleanup on Highway 59 in Albany.
The highway was closed for almost eight hours yesterday so crews could clean up thousands of pounds of cheese that spilled from an overturned semi. The semi ran into a ditch and crashed into a power pole, spilling over 40-thousand-pounds of cheese. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured but was cited for failure to secure a load.
