Nearly one-third of all Wisconsonites are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
That is the latest from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services in its latest data release yesterday. Thirty-percent of those in the state or one-point-eight-million-people are fully vaccinated according to the latest data. Around two-point-four people in Wisconsin have gotten one of two doses. Madison’s zoo animals are eligible to get the COVID-19 shot. Henry Vilas Zoo vet Mary Thurber says the most vulnerable are big cat species, primates and otters. The zoo plans to use an experimental drug for the animal vaccinations as soon as the Department of Agriculture gives the go-ahead.
