While prosecutors say one of the two young women in the Slender Man stabbing case continues to be a threat, her attorneys say there is no evidence to back that up.
Anissa Weier’s lawyers are asking that she be released from the state mental hospital where she’s spent the past seven years. They say Weier has had contact with the other young woman in the case, Morgan Geyser, and there haven’t been any issues. A judge sentenced Weier and Geyser to 25 years in the hospital for nearly killing a third girl when they were both 12-years old. Weier’s lawyers say she’s served her time and worked on her mental health, so she should be released.
