There is a growing petition on Change.org that is asking for Wisconsin to make birth certificate forms gender neutral for parents. The petition currently has over 2,500 signatures.
While same-sex couples currently have the opportunity to have both parents listed on the birth certificate, they are unable to do so immediately after the birth of the child due to the current form. Supporters are asking Wisconsin’s state representatives to advocate for this change.
