The State Department of Natural Resources must hold a wolf hunt this month.
A judge today ordered the DNR to hold the hunt rather than wait until November, which is when the department had planned to start the season. A hunting advocacy group filed suit to force an immediate start to the season after the Trump administration removed wolves from the federal endangered species list last month.
