There’s some agreement on a police reform package at the Wisconsin Capitol.
Republicans Van Wanggaard and Anita Darling yesterday joined with Democrat Lena Taylor to unveil a package of proposed laws to have police departments be more transparent about their use of force. The proposals also include an overhaul of the police and fire commissions in both Milwaukee and Madison. There’s no word on just how much support the plans have with other lawmakers at the statehouse.
