The head of the Wisconsin Grocers’ Association says the people who stocked the shelves at grocery stores across the state have been considered essential employees for the past 10 months, he wants to know why they are now being left-out of the next round for coronavirus vaccines.
The state’s Department of Health Services is finalizing who will be in the next group, Phase 1b. The Grocers’ Brandon Scholz says the 60 thousand people who work in grocery stores are not in that group. He cannot believe that prisoners and mink farmers are included. DHS is set to decide on Phase 1b this week.
