Usually it is us who gets the snow leading up to Christmas, but it seems Mother Nature has other plans this year.
A huge winter storm is pounding the East Coast this evening. NBC News meteorologist Bill Karins explains where the storm is hitting now.
Over 60-million people are under a severe weather advisory in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions. Overnight, the storm will ramp up. It could bring as much as two feet of snow to some areas. Governors in several states have declared states of emergency and authorities are warning people to stay off the roads.
