The Eau Claire Police Department is warning the public and updating a case.
UPDATE: Regarding the catalytic converter thefts, the pictured vehicle is believed to be involved. It is a silver 2006 Volvo S40 with a sunroof and MN plates.
This is in regard to a string of thefts. So far today the ECPD has received multiple reports of thefts of catalytic converters from Toyota Priuses. The thefts have occurred on the upper west side of Eau Claire.
If you have this type of vehicle please take steps to keep your vehicle in a secure location if possible.
