The Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office reported that 3 year old Abigail Ladwig was located and safe and we now have a few more details about this case.
It was just before 7:30 on Monday evening when 7:20 pm, Abigail and her dog Peanut were located walking from the woods into a neighboring yard a short distance from her residence. Abigail sustained minor scratches, insect bites and dehydration during her nearly 24 hours of being lost in the woods, but is expected to be okay.
She was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment and released.
