Even with more coronavirus testing, Wisconsin is reporting fewer people testing positive for the coronavirus.
Yesterday’s coronavirus count saw just 144 new cases. At the same time, the state’s Department of Health Services reported just under five thousand negative tests. Wisconsin’s positive-test-rate is now under three percent.
After insisting for months that his Safer at Home order will save lives, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers is now giving-up on the idea of coronavirus rules all together.
The governor yesterday had the state’s Department of Health Services withdraw the proposed rules for a new Safer at Home order. The governor said Republicans have made it clear that they don’t want any new regulations, so he will not push for new regulations. He says the process to craft new rules would be a ‘waste of time.’
