County officials are not recommending Wisconsin residents travel to their cabins or vacation homes in another part of the state amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Sawyer County Public Information Officer Diane McNamer says although travel isn’t recommended, it isn’t against the law. She says Sawyer County doesn’t have legal authority to stop someone from traveling across the state, but she hopes if people do travel, they take extra precautions to keep the year-round residents safe.
