The Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservancy is now listed on the Wisconsin state historic register.
Commonly known as Milwaukee’s Domes, the tourist attraction is vying to be added to the National Register of Historic Places and the state designation is key to that. The state has sent an 83-page nomination report for the Domes to the National Park Service for approval. The Domes were built in the 1960s but were temporarily closed for repairs in 2016 when concrete fell to the floor from the Tropical Dome.
