A Chippewa Falls man is avoiding jail after being convicted of using a fake gold coin.
Reports say Alex Kramer pleaded no contest to one count of forgery and three unrelated counts in Eau Claire County earlier this week. Kramer was then sentenced to three years on probation. He’s accused of trying to use the fake coin at a Dollar General last month.
