The city of Eau Claire is going to help build the new Sonnentag Center.
The city council last night signed a letter promising to pay as much as eight-and-a-half million-dollars for the new events center. The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire will pay for most of the costs. Eau Claire is also offering TIF district financing. Planners hope to start work on the new center this summer.
