WI DHS Announces Data Breach

The personal health information of nearly 20-thousand Wisconsin Medicaid members may have been leaked in a security breach. 

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services announced Friday that the breach was discovered after suspicious activity was found on an email account for Disability Rights Wisconsin.  The nonprofit organization is now mailing notifications to state Medicaid members who may have had their data compromised.  The DHS says those affected will be offered free credit monitoring for one year.
