WI Counties Detect Invasive Species, EAB

An invasive species affecting ash trees has been detected in two Wisconsin counties for the first time.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural resources says the emerald ash borer was found in Washburn and Taylor counties. The species is lethal to ash trees without prompt treatment and is typically carried to new places by humans. Burnett is the only county in Wisconsin with no detection. More than sixty new detections have been reported so far this year. A map of locations with EAB can be found on the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture website WITH AN EASY CLICK HERE.
