The suspect in the death of an eight-year-old in Rock County is the victim’s adopted brother.
Prosecutors filed formal charges against 20-year-old Dayveon Lathrop on Friday. Those charges say Lathrop allegedly stabbed his adopted sister to death, then hid her body in a storage tote in the laundry room. Lathrop was arrested after the girl’s body was found last weekend, he was in court on Friday to face his formal charges.
