WI Officer Charged, Resigns

A police officer in New Glarus has resigned after prosecutors charged him with sexual assault.

The chief in New Glarus says officer Alexander Brey resigned on Tuesday. The chief says the case is not related to Brey’s time on the force, there are no allegations that he ever acted improperly as a police officer. Prosecutor claim Brey assaulted a woman at his home last August. He’s due back in court next month.
