Crews were on the scene of a deadly crash Sunday. It was at 12:49 PM on Sunday February 25th when a crash occurred on WIS 25 NB/SB at Northline Road in Dunn County near Menomonie.
Assisting agencies included Dunn County Sheriff’s Department, Menomonie Police Department, and Menomonie Fire Department.
The crash involved 1 fatality and 1 injury.
Preliminary investigation shows a pickup truck traveling southbound, driven by 56 year old Barbara Jean McLennan from Chetek, pulled into the northbound lanes to pass a vehicle and drove head-on into a passenger car traveling northbound. The driver of the passenger car, 57 year old Tony Swanson of Boyceville, was fatally injured as a result of the crash. The driver of the pickup truck received minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
