Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers is suing Wisconsin Republicans for not including University of Wisconsin employees in their pay raises.
He says it’s a violation of the state constitution because they are obstructing the basic functions of government. Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul says in the suit filed in the Wisconsin State Supreme Court that Republicans are interfering with the governor’s executive powers by blocking the pay raises. The suit also claims Republicans are stopping dozens of conservation projects selected by the Department of Neutral Resources.
