City Council Checks Stay Steady

The city council in Wausau won’t see any more money.

The council could not agree on a pay raise for themselves at Tuesday night’s meeting. Council members Dawn Herbst and Lou Larson said they deserved a pay raise for doing what they do for the city. But council member Tom Kilian said the city council should take a pay cut. After some spirited debate between the three, the council opted not to raise or cut their pay. That means city council members in Wausau won’t see their checks change at all.
