There is a warning from Wisconsin’s Department of Transportation about the coming shorter days. The deer are still not following the crossing signs and are moving all over the roads. (A classic Wisconsin joke, eh?)
Wis-DOT superintendent Tim Carnahan said the morning and evening commutes will be a little more difficult as the days get shorter. Wis-DOT says just 25-percent of all driving is done at night, but half of all deadly crashes happen at night. Wis-DOT is also warning drivers about deer. This is the time when deer become more prevalent at dusk and dawn.
